April 12, 2025, at 08:48 to 09:15am – South 24th Street and Whitton.

Two deliberately set fires by the same individual (in Police custody).

Fortunately, no major damage and no injuries.

Eyewitnesses identified the man who set the fires, and videos captured at the scene confirmed it.

According to SJPD, the previous night, there was an individual making threats (not certain of the exact neighborhood location), and SJPD had been looking for him. UNCERTAIN at this time if it was the same individual.

KUDOS to all of the neighbors who assisted SJPD and SJFD to make sure the damage was limited and the suspect in custody!
